The largest freshwater reservoirs in Canada are bordering on the United States, Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, Ontario and Jezio situated on the territory of Canada only, Great Bear Lake, Great Slave Lake, Lake Athabasca, Reindeer Lake, Lake Winnipeg and many smaller ones. The great lakes are often the main magnet, attracting tourists to Canada. Their clean water and the beauty of the surrounding nature and the possibility of active rest, make that fans fishing, canoeing, sailing, swimming or camping the bosom of nature, have become popular forms of recreation here. Niagara Falls - one of the biggest attractions of the central-eastern part of the USA and Canada. Niagara River, which flows from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario, creates a beautiful large waterfall of 50 meters in height. Because the waterfall is on the border of these countries it has been divided into two parts, a Canadian and an American. The American part of the American Bridal Veil (the bride's veil), which is a narrow island separated Luna Island and part of the "Canadian" Horseshoe (the horseshoe). The Canadian side of a waterfall is much more attractive for tourists because it has a straight view of the declining American water cascades, as well as a good view of the cascade of Canada, although this is usually partially hidden in clouds of droplets formed ever falling mass of water. Therefore, people with the choice this waterfall must see it is from the Canadian side. |
